Project Management is a specialist area of GAP Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd (GAP) .
At GAP Electrica l & Mechanical Services Ltd (GAP) we appreciate that project management is the discipline of organizing and managing resources (e.g. people) in such a way that the project is completed within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints. A project is a temporary and one-time endeavor undertaken to create a unique product or service, which brings about beneficial change or added value. Two systems are often very different and require varying technical skills and philosophy, hence requiring the development of project management.
Therefore GAP provide a full service from conception to completion, from taking on a project from the Design Phase through to completing the Civil works, providing supporting steel work and onto the Electrical Installation. This assists our customers by enabling them to deal with one point of contact, as we manage the whole project from start to finish.
National grid wireless project ~ Scotland
Here is an example of one of the three, National grid wireless projects that we undertook in Scotland, which entailed drilling and fixing resin anchors for the installation of a new telecoms mono pole, utilizing Gap personnel and specialist contractors
Project at Rossendale, Lancashire
This project at Rossendale, Lancashire included electrical installation of new cabinets and supply cabling. Our team was then able to carry out base drilling to allow for mechanical works which set the base for the new mono pole
Installation of Airwave, communications systems
Gap have completed preliminary works for the installation of Airwave, communications systems gas generator back up for the emergency services. These projects included civils, electrical and lightening protection works.
National Grid high voltage pylon sites.
These projects have included the supply, manufacture and installation of insulated grillages to mount client’s equipment. The Gap team also carried out the electrical and mechanical installation to enable completion of these projects.
